“光”是无形而不可触的,但是数字时代的科技已经赋予它更多的内涵。它形态万千,光怪陆离,作为艺术创作的媒介,具有无限广阔的运用空间,可令各种形态和方式的艺术作品得以实现,是艺术与科技结合的典范,甚至有人断言“光”将成为未来的主要艺术形式。

“光阴之美,不舍昼夜”。我们以“光媒介”作为切入点,邀请艺术家进行创作。而“光影万象”更是始于光而藏匿于光的“万象光影”。

希望艺术家们通过“光媒介”艺术语言将个人创意与地域文化有机结合,融入到千岛湖月光岛水下空间中,从艺术出发而做到美美与共,以提升“光影艺术展”的品牌价值,进一步推动千岛湖文化产业发展,实现艺术、文化和经济的融合。从而努力把项目发展为一个有高度、互动强、辐射广的艺术盛会。

Light is immateriality and untouchable, but the technology of the digital age has given it more connotations. With its many shapes and forms, it has a wide scope for use as an artistic medium, enabling artworks of all shapes and forms to be presented. It is an exemplary combination of art and technology. Some have even asserted that ‘light’ will become one of the dominant art forms in the future.

“The beauty of time just flows on day and night.” We regard the light as an entry point and invite artists to create artworks. The “Light and Shadow” is a “light and shadow” that begins with light and hides in light.

We hope that the artists will combine their personal creativity with local culture through the artistic language of “light”, integrate it into the underwater space of the Yue Guang Island in Qiandao Lake, so as to enhance the brand value of the “Light and Shadow Art Exhibition” and further promote the development of the cultural industry in Qiandao Lake, achieve the integration of art, culture and economy. Thus, we will strive to develop the project into a highly interactive and famous art festival .

千岛湖位于浙江省杭州西郊淳安县境内。它是国务院首批公布的44处国家级风景区之一,也是目前国内最大的国家级森林公园。它是1959年为建造新安江水电站而筑坝蓄水形成的人工湖。因其山青、水秀、洞奇、石怪而被誉为“千岛碧水画中游”。湖区面积573平方公里,湖中拥有形态各异的大小岛屿1078座,平均水深34米,能见度9-14米,属国家一级水体,被原新华社社长穆青赞誉为“天下第一秀水”,整个湖区分为东北、东南、西北、西南、中心五大湖区。千岛湖碧波万倾,千岛竟秀,群山叠翠,峡谷幽深,溪涧清秀,洞石奇异,还有种类众多的生物资源,文物古迹和丰富的土特产品,构成了享誉中外的岛湖风景特点。

Qiandao Lake is located in the western suburb of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, in Chun’an County. It is one of the first 44 national scenic spots announced by the State Council, and is also the largest national forest park in China.It is an artificial lake formed by damming water for the construction of the Xin’an River Hydropower Station in 1959. It is known as the “Thousand Islands and Green Water as A Painting” because of its green mountains, beautiful water, strange caves and rocks.The lake covers an area of 573 square kilometres, with 1,078 islands of different sizes, an average water depth of 34 metres and visibility of 9-14 metres, and is a national-level water body.It was praised by Mu Qing, the former president of Xinhua News Agency, as “the most beautiful water in the world”.The lake is divided into five major areas, namely the northeast, southeast, northwest, southwest and centre. The lake is characterised by blue waves, thousands of islands, mountains, deep gorges, streams, caves and rocks, a wide variety of biological resources, cultural relics and rich local products.

Clearing of the Lake as Mirror (Spatial Hydrology)

Taking the lake and mountains as a medium and light and shadow as a mirror, the underwater historical landscape of Qiandao Lake is presented, and the lighting of the lake is achieved by revealing the invisible in physical and historical conditions through the mirror of the clarity of Qiandao Lake: the aesthetic characteristics of water and light/shadow in artistic creation – the visibility and invisibility.

·岛光潋滟(在地文化)

潋滟,取自唐代淳安诗人方干诗作《于秀才小池》中的“一泓潋滟复澄明”。这一部分围绕淳安与千岛湖的当地文化展开,相关作品置于岛上,以夏季光影,展现千岛湖的地方风貌。

Island Light Is Brimming (Local Culture)

Brimming is taken from the poet Fang Gan’ Yu Xiu Cai Xiao Chi’ from Tang Dynasty and Fang comes from Chun’an: ‘A vast body of water is brimming and lighting again’. This section revolves around the local culture of Chun’an and Qiandao Lake, and the related works can be placed on islands. The local landscape of Qiandao Lake will be presented by light and shadow in summer.

·星桥锁光(科技探索)

德国哲学家海德格尔认为,在现代技术的背景下,人与世界身在其中被摆置与支配。只有通过诗(艺术)与思(思想),我们才能真正接近事物,产生“洞见”;通过“美”,被遮蔽的真理才会显现。这个主题下的作品,通过水/光影与5G、无人机、智能传输、交互技术等最新技术的艺术探索,呈现光影在艺术创作中的“思”。这里的“光”,既指光影,也指艺术带给科技的光,更指美。

Bridges and Gathered Lights under the Stars (Exploring Technology)

According to the German philosopher Martin Heidegger, in the context of modern technology, man and the world are placed and dominated within it. It is only through poetry (art) and thinking (thought) that we can truly approach things and gain ‘insight’; it is through ‘beauty’ that the obscured truths are revealed. The works of this section, through the artistic exploration of water/light and the latest technologies such as 5G, drones, intelligent transmission and interactive technology, present the ‘thought’ of light and shadow in artistic creation. The word ‘light’ here refers to both light and shadow, the light that art brings to technology, and beauty.

·独岛澄谧(自然社会)

这一部分表现水与光影的“聚拢”功能,关注能在夜晚表现出声音氛围的作品,最终将光、影、水,与自然、人造之音交融,表达无人是孤岛的文化意义。最终突显光/影在艺术创作中的视听性与社会性特征。

Silence of the Lonely Island (Nature and Society)

This section shows the ‘gathering’ role of water and light and shadow, focusing on works that can express the atmosphere of sound at night, ultimately blending light, shadow and water with natural and artificial sounds to express that No Man Is An Island. Ultimately, it highlights the audiovisual and social character of light and shadow in arts.

·心光澄怀(艺术境界)

中国从东晋时期开始,便形成了澄怀观道、静照忘求的审美观照方式。“澄怀”,让自己的情怀与意念清澄,体会山水中的自然之道。借光入心,“视乎冥冥,听乎无声”(庄子);“寥亮心神莹,含虚映自然”(支遁),以致“虚静”(老子)。最终,通过与千岛湖山相结合,探索借助光影或其他技术媒介的东方艺术语言,更为千岛湖注入浓郁的东方精神。

Purifying the Mind with Lights (The State of Art)

From the Eastern Jin Dynasty onwards, Chinese has developed an aesthetic way of purifying one’s mind and experiencing Tao.”Purifying your mind”, let your feelings and thoughts clear up and experience the Tao in the landscape. Calming down by lights, “to see where there is the deepest obscurity; to hear where there is no sound” (Zhuangzi); “the few bright hearts and minds are shining, containing the emptiness and reflecting nature” (Zhitun), resulting in “Xujing” (Laozi).Ultimately, by combining with Qiandao Lake and the mountains, exploring the language of oriental art through light and shadow or other technical medium, Qiandao Lake is infused with the oriental spirit.

3.充分考虑作品昼夜不同的视觉效果,根据本届展览关键词,建议作品尽可能隐藏于水面之下

Principles of Creation:

1. Respect for nature and ecological protection.

2. Activate culture and integrate the local contexts.

3. Considering the different visual effects of the works during the day and night, and in accordance with the keyword, the works are recommended to be placed underwater as far as possible.

就本届光影艺术展当中25个点位,进行光媒介艺术作品方案邀请征稿,每位艺术家创作点位可不限于1个。

入选作品制作、安装费用的支出由主办单位支付。

各点位入选者艺术家将获得包括艺术家酬金以及以安装作品为目的的往返机票及住宿等。

七、创作环保要求

Environmental requirements for works

1.作品不得对湖区水质造成污染;

The work must not cause pollution to the water quality of the lake.

2.作品不得对湖区生态平衡造成影响;

The work must not have an impact on the ecological balance of the Lake District.

3.作品不得对湖区自然景观造成负面影响;

The work must not have a negative impact on the natural landscape of the lake area.

4.作品不能影响航线,需提前报备作品方案,并在设备外围设置浮漂;

The work must not affect the route, and the scheme of the work must be reported in advance, and floating floats must be set up at the periphery of the equipment.

5.作品不得存在其他影响工程运行和危害工程安全的行为,在水利工程保护范围内,禁止从事影响水利工程运行、危害水利工程安全的活动;

The work must not have any other behaviour that affects the operation of the project and endangers the safety of the project. Within the protection area of the water conservancy project, activities affecting the operation of the water conservancy project and endangering the safety of the water conservancy project are prohibited.

6.作品不能存在滴漏和冒油的情况。

一、作品评审工作规程

· 方案征集/Call for proposal

艺术展采用邀请+征稿的方式,每位作者可提交1-3件作品供艺委会评选;填写组委会统一制定的报名登记表并提供相应附带资料。作者请于2022年3月10日24:00时前将报名登记表电子版与参展作品方案(模板见附件)、作品视频、个人照片、身份证(正背面)扫描件发至指定电子邮件ysgcykjyjs@163.com。

提交的作品方案信息要与作品报名登记表对应,且每个方案单独对应一张作品展板。若同一作者投稿多个方案,则每个方案都需独立附报名登记表、每个方案一张展板,参展作品方案展板版面尺寸为A0(横式/见附件二),解析度应在300DPI以上,JPG格式(展板版面不标注任何作者信息) 。组装作品要有清楚明了的安装图;文件名按照作者姓名、作品名称、规格、材料格式命名(例如:米隆《掷铁饼者》长*宽*高=100*100*152cm、青铜.JPG);投稿作品严格按照投稿模板进行投稿、报名登记表填写清楚、不漏项,报送材料逾期不予受理。

The art exhibition will be held by invitation + call for entries. Each author may submit 1-3 pieces of artworks for selection by the Art Committee; fill in the registration form and provide the corresponding accompanying information.Authors should submit an electronic version of the registration form together with a proposal for the artwork to be exhibited (see attached), a video of the artwork, a personal photograph and an ID card (front and back) toysgcykjyjs@163.comby 24:00 on 10 March 2022.

The information submitted should correspond to the entry form and each proposal should be accompanied by a separate exhibition board. If the same author submits more than one scheme, each scheme should be accompanied by a separate registration form and one exhibition board for each scheme.The size of the exhibition board should be A0 (horizontal/see attached II),with a resolution of 300 DPI or more, in JPG format (the exhibition board should not be marked with any author information). The installation should be clearly illustrated; the file name should be in accordance with the name of the author, the name of the work, the specifications and the material format (e.g. Miron, Discus Thrower, L*W*H=100*100*152cm, bronze.JPG); submissions should be made strictly in accordance with the submission template; the registration form should be filled in clearly and without omission; late submissions will not be accepted.

· 方案评审/Selection of Proposals

评审将于2022年3月11日-14日由评审委员会对邀请征稿的方案进行遴选。组委会将于2022年3月15日通过邮件和电话形式通知入选艺术家。

由组织机构3人、专家4人、策展人2人,共9人组成评审团队,负责对策展单位提交的征集作品方案进行初评,并报组委会终评确定展览作品。

The selection will take place from 11-14 March 2022 and the jury will select the proposals invited for submission. The Organizing Committee will notify the selected artists by email and telephone on 15 March 2022.

A selection team consisting of three members from the organizing body, four experts and two curators, a total of nine people, will be responsible for the preliminary assessment of the proposals submitted by the exhibition organizers for the call for entries and will submit them to the Organizing Committee for final assessment to determine the works to be exhibited.

· 评审程序/Selection Process

1.策展团队提交展览征集作品目录,并向评审团队汇报;

2.评审团队依据评审原则,对邀请征集作品提出意见和建议,并根据展览的展品数量(25)、国内外作品比例从征稿作品中推荐入选作品;

3.组织机构汇总各评审专家评审结果,统计各作品得票数,按照从多到少排列,前25名作为评审专家组初评入选作品,其余作品全部列入展览候选作品名单;

4.组织机构汇总专家组评审意见及初评结果,报组委会办公室审议,终评入选作品。

1. The curatorial team submits the catalog of works invited for the exhibition and reports to the committee.

2. The committee will make comments and suggestions on the invited works according to the selection principles, and recommend the selected works from among the works invited according to the number of works (25) and the proportion of domestic and foreign works in the exhibition.

3. The organizers summarize the applied works, count the number of votes received by each work and rank them in descending order, with the top 25 works being selected by the committee for the preliminary evaluation and the rest being included in the list of candidates for the exhibition.

4. The results of the preliminary evaluation will be compiled and submitted to the Organizing Committee Office for final review

1.参展作者申报的项目不得侵犯其他第三方的专利权、著作权、商标权、名誉权或其他任何合法权益。

2.参展作者申报的项目所包含的任何文字、图片、图形、音频或视频资料,均受版权、商标权和其它所有权的法律保护,未经参展作者同意, 上述资料不得公开发布、播放。

1. The application must not infringe on the patent, copyright, trademark, reputation or any other legal rights of third parties.

2. Any text, images, graphics, audio or video materials contained in the application are protected by copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights and may not be published or broadcast without the consent of the exhibiting artist.

·出版/Publication

展览画册:所有入选作品及部分优秀作品均编入此次活动画册。内容有展览介绍、学术文章、展览花絮、参展作品、作者简介以及作品说明等文字内容。

The catalog: all selected works and some of the best works are compiled into a catalog of the event. It contains an introduction to the exhibition, academic articles, exhibition highlights, exhibited works, authors’ profiles and descriptions of the works.
